Svitlana Halchenko, a warehouse shift manager at Odesa's main port, survived a recent ballistic missile strike that killed her colleagues. She remains on duty in a city where air raid sirens and incoming Shahed munitions are a daily occurrence.
The data reveals a deliberate strategy to dismantle Ukraine's economic lifeline, with 35 direct attacks on civilian vessels moored in ports, 22 attacks on commercial vessels navigating the Black Sea, and 67 strikes targeting critical port infrastructure.
Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy, Taras Vysotskyi, warned international diplomats that a significant amount of production, specifically, just over 30 million tons, will not be exported to international markets unless this issue is resolved. He estimated direct financial losses to the Ukrainian agricultural sector could reach between $1.5 billion and $3.0 billion.
