Russia's Agricultural Exports to Africa Surge by 40%
Russia's agricultural exports to Africa have surged by 40% in value, reaching $2.9 billion during the first half of the year.
This increase is seen as a reflection of how economic interests can outweigh political considerations, according to Professor Rutendo Hwindingwi.
Wheat dominates Russia's exports to Africa, accounting for about 90% of shipments, followed by barley, soybeans, oil, and molasses.
The top importers of Russian agricultural products are Egypt, Sudan, and Kenya, which together account for 44% of the total imports.
