Sabah Secures 40pc Stake in FLNG Project Through Petronas Deal
Sabah is set to secure a significant stake in the state's floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor announced that Sabah will receive a 40 per cent stake in the FLNG project, thanks to an agreement with Petronas.
The cooperation agreement between Sabah and Petronas has enabled the state government to participate more actively in the oil and gas industry. This is a significant milestone for Sabah, which continues to attract growing investor interest due to its investor-friendly policies.
Hajiji said that nearly 40 foreign diplomats or high commissioners have met with him over the past five years to explore investment opportunities in Sabah. He attributed this interest to the state government's policies, which he believes will propel Sabah towards a brighter future.
