Saudi Allies Unite Behind Kingdom Amid Escalating Houthi Attacks

Saudi Arabia's ally countries are banding together to support the kingdom amid escalating attacks by the Iran-aligned Houthi rebels. A high-level meeting between Saudi, Turkish, and Pakistani officials will take place under a joint defense pact to discuss ways to assist Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis have launched numerous strikes on the Saudi-backed government in Yemen and repeatedly fired into Saudi territory, disrupting oil flows from the world's largest energy exporter.

Saudi's top religious authority called on soldiers to be ready to lay down their lives to fight the Houthi rebels until the group is ousted from power.
