Saudi Arabia Projects SAR 1.392 Trillion in Expenditures for Fiscal Year 2027
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Finance has announced the preliminary statement for the state's general budget for fiscal year 2027, projecting total expenditures of SAR 1.392 trillion and total revenues of around SAR 1.202 trillion.
The projected deficit is estimated at about 3.6 percent of gross domestic product, within a framework of long-term financial planning and maintaining fiscal sustainability.
Economic diversification initiatives and economic reforms are expected to support revenues over the medium term, with total revenues projected to reach SAR 1.202 trillion in 2027 and rise to SAR 1.351 trillion by 2029.
The Saudi economy experienced a decline in oil activities, which are expected to decrease by 21.8 percent, but non-oil activities continue to record positive growth of 3.2 percent.
