Saudi Coalition Disputes Houthi Claim of Oil Facility Attack
The Saudi-led coalition battling the Houthis in Yemen has disputed the group's claim to have attacked an oil facility near Riyadh, describing it as 'misleading'.
Fighting between the Iran-backed Houthis and Yemen's internationally recognized government, backed by Saudi Arabia, reignited in July. The Houthis have also launched numerous attacks on Saudi territory.
Government forces said they had struck Houthi targets across Yemen over the weekend, while the Houthis claimed to have attacked an oil facility south of Riyadh belonging to Aramco. An AFP journalist witnessed flames and smoke rising from the site, but Saudi authorities have yet to comment.
