Saudi Forces Intercept Drones Targeting Oil Sites in Eastern Region

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense confirmed that multiple armed drones targeted major oil sites in the Eastern Region and Riyadh on Monday. The drones were launched from Iraqi territory, according to Saudi forces.

Turki Malki, a spokesperson for the ministry, stated that Iran-backed groups carried out the attack.

Malki emphasized Saudi Arabia's right to defend its territory and resources, warning that the country reserves the right to retaliate at a time of its choosing. The incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region.
