Saudi Arabia has joined American forces in conducting airstrikes on Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), a coalition of Iran-backed militias. The Saudi attack came in response to recent drone attacks targeting oil facilities, which were launched from Iraqi territory and carried out by terrorist militias aligned with Iran.

The PMF called the latest assault a 'highly dangerous escalation,' while Iraq's Foreign Ministry condemned the aggressive attacks as a violation of the country's national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Iran's Foreign Ministry also weighed in, condemning the airstrikes as a violation of Iraq's sovereignty.
