Saudi Oil Exports Surge to 6 Million Barrels per Day Amid Hormuz Shipping Resurgence
Saudi Arabia's oil exports have rebounded sharply to around 6 million barrels per day in September, following an 80% increase from approximately 3.4 million barrels per day in August.
The surge comes despite a drone attack earlier this month that damaged the kingdom's East-West pipeline, which had become a crucial alternative to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Riyadh achieved the increase by shifting more crude back towards its eastern Gulf terminals and sending tankers through a US-supported shipping corridor along the Omani side of the strait.
