Security Threats Halt Kurdistan Oil Production

Kurdistan's oil production remains at a low level due to security threats. According to Kurdistan Region Interior Minister Rebar Ahmad, international companies have suspended production because they lack adequate security guarantees and protection.

The conflict in the region has stopped, but ongoing threats are causing concerns. Ahmad hopes that efforts from the Iraqi Federal Prime Minister will succeed in eliminating these threats, allowing oil production to resume.

The US-led coalition's withdrawal deadline on September 30 is also a concern for the Kurdistan Region. The coalition provided defense systems, including Patriot and other defense systems, which are set to be taken away.
