Ukraine Downgrades Grain Export Forecast by 12% Amid Ongoing Port Attacks
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy in Ukraine has downgraded its forecast for grain exports in the 2026/27 marketing year due to ongoing attacks on port infrastructure. The revised estimate puts grain exports at 38-40 million tonnes, a 12% reduction from previous estimates.
Before Russia's attacks intensified in late July, the ministry had predicted grain exports of 43 million tonnes.
The forecast is in line with that of APK-Inform, which also predicts grain exports to reach 39.4 million tonnes, an 8.6% reduction from previous estimates.
Broken down by type, Ukraine's grain exports are expected to include 24 million tonnes of corn, 13.5 million tonnes of wheat, and 1.5 million tonnes of barley.
