Sempra Infrastructure Seals Long-Term LNG Supply Deal with Petrobras
Sempra Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Sempra, has signed a long-term deal with Petrobras to supply around 0.8 million tons per year (tpy) of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The agreement, which spans 20 years, will see the LNG sourced from Sempra Infrastructure's contracted liquefaction capacity at the Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 project in Jefferson County, Texas.
'We are pleased to welcome Petrobras as the first South American company in our LNG customer portfolio,' said Justin Bird, CEO of Sempra Infrastructure. 'This long-term agreement establishes a strategic relationship with one of the world's leading energy companies.'
