SEWA Expands Sharjah's Natural Gas Network with AED 18.838 Million Investment
The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) has embarked on four major projects to expand and modernize the natural gas network in the Central Region of Sharjah, with a total investment of over AED 18.838 million.
The projects aim to meet the growing needs of local residents, upgrade service quality across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, and deliver safe, sustainable, and affordable energy that enhances overall quality of life.
One of the projects is the Al Bataeh-Dhaid gas pipeline, which has reached 70% completion. The 27-kilometre project, valued at AED 7.73 million, is expected to be completed in November 2026.
