Silver Prices Plummet as US Treasury Bond Yields Soar

The silver price experienced sharp fluctuations on August 19, with prices for silver bars and ingots showing significant drops. According to Ancarat Gem Company, the price of 2024 Ancarat 999 silver bars (1 tael) was listed at 2.241-2.298 million VND/tael, down 45,000 VND/tael on the buying side and 47,000 VND/tael on the selling side compared to the previous day.

The price of silver ingots 2025 Ancarat 999 (1kg) was also reduced, with a listing at 58.960-60.780 million VND/kg, down 1.214 million VND/kg on the buying side and 1.254 million VND/kg on the selling side compared to the previous day.

The world silver price was listed at $63.2 per ounce as of 9:30 AM on August 19, down $2.15 from the previous day.
