Silver prices on MCX have been softening, according to Univest's latest analysis. On 15 September 2026, silver closed at Rs 231,255.00 per kg, down 0.62 percent on the 4 December 2026 futures.

The metal fell in step with gold as broader equity markets sold off sharply today. Crude oil surged over 2 percent on MCX after fresh Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia deepened concerns over global energy supply stability, a key factor for commodity prices.

Univest's research desk, led by Ankit Jaiswal and Kunal Singla, is tracking global cues closely to predict silver prices for tomorrow. The analysts suggest that crude oil prices and the US Dollar Index are the main swing factors in determining MCX pricing.
