SOCAR and Comstock Team Up for International LNG Sales

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and US-based Comstock Resources are teaming up to explore opportunities for liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales in international markets.

Under a Framework Agreement on strategic partnership, SOCAR will work with Comstock to identify potential buyers, assess pricing mechanisms, and study logistical and regulatory issues related to gas sales outside the United States.

The agreement focuses on LNG produced from Comstock's Haynesville shale assets in northern Louisiana and eastern Texas, which are among the leading natural gas-producing regions in the US.
