Southern Energy Corp. Reports Q2 Earnings Amid Ongoing Transportation Dispute
Southern Energy Corp., an established producer of natural gas and light oil in Mississippi, announced its second quarter financial and operating results for June 30, 2026.
The company reported petroleum and natural gas sales of $4.2 million during Q2 2026, a 4% increase from the same period in 2025, primarily due to higher oil production and stronger realized oil prices.
Average production was 10,4601 Mcfe/d (1,743 boe/d) during Q2 2026, a decrease of 7% from the same period in 2025, mainly due to the temporary shut-in of the Mechanicsburg and Greens Creek Fields because of the ongoing transportation dispute.
Southern achieved an average natural gas price premium of $0.25/Mcf (approximately 9%) above the NYMEX Henry Hub benchmark during Q2 2026.
