Spain Caps Gas Price Hikes Amid Escalating Energy Costs
The Spanish government has announced plans to limit natural gas price increases to 15 percent in an effort to shield consumers from rising energy costs. The move aims to mitigate the impact of the ongoing Middle East conflict on energy prices, which have been escalating rapidly.
According to Ecological Transition Minister Sara Aagesen, butane tank prices will also be capped at 19.55 euros per unit. This decision is part of a larger package of measures approved by the government in March, totaling around five billion euros and benefiting over 20 million households and three million businesses.
