STAR Refinery Cuts Aviation Fuel Output by Nearly One-Third in June
The STAR Oil Refinery in Türkiye produced significantly less aviation fuel in June compared to the same month last year. According to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), the refinery churned out approximately 118,695 tons of kerosene in June this year.
This represents a decline of 33.6% from June 2025, when production was at 180,721 tons. In total, Turkish oil refineries produced over 583,385 tons of aviation fuel in June, down by 42,175 tons or 6.7% compared to the same month last year.
The STAR refinery, an asset of Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR), was inaugurated on October 19, 2018. It has a crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons and can process Urals, Azeri Light and Kirkuk crude oil.
