SunBridge BioEnergy Starts Commercial Ethanol Production in Seoni
SunBridge BioEnergy Ltd, a part of the SunBridge Group, has begun commercial ethanol production at its new plant in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The facility boasts a daily production capacity of 300 kilolitres and a storage capacity of 11,000 kilolitres, covering an area of about 117,560 square metres.
The company is expanding its ethanol operations, with plans to reach a total production capacity of 700 kilolitres per day once its 400 kilolitre plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, becomes operational. The Seoni facility is designed for efficient resource use, producing distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and distillers corn oil (DCO) as byproducts for animal feed. It also features a zero liquid discharge system to minimize water wastage.
Anuj Agarwal, Founder and Chairman of SunBridge Group, called the start of production at Seoni a significant milestone. He emphasized the company's goal to build a scalable bioenergy platform that combines energy efficiency with value creation for farmers and rural economies. Agarwal highlighted the plant's role in supporting sustainable energy and reducing fossil fuel dependence.
SunBridge BioEnergy uses damaged food grains like maize and broken rice to produce fuel-grade ethanol, supporting farming communities by utilizing grains unsuitable for human consumption.
