Syria and Saudi Arabia are exploring investment partnerships in the energy and water sectors. Minister of Energy Mohammad al-Bashir met with Chairman of the Saudi-Syrian Business Council Mohammed bin Abdullah Abu Nayyan to discuss opportunities for cooperation. The meeting reviewed investment possibilities in electricity, oil, mining, water, and wastewater sectors.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance direct communication between the Ministry of Energy and the Saudi-Syrian Business Council, aiming to create a suitable environment for Saudi companies to invest in Syria's energy and water projects.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Energy Minister for Water and Electricity Affairs Osama Abu Zeid and representatives of Saudi companies interested in investing in Syria.
