The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has received nine bids for the import of 656,000 metric tonnes of wheat to meet domestic consumption needs. The tender was floated by the state-run grain trader on September 8, 2026, following directives from the federal government to avert a potential shortage in the local market.

The lowest bid was submitted by M/s Agrocorp for a supply of 55,000 metric tonnes at a price of USD 348.83 per metric tonne. The highest bid was received from M/s Olam, which agreed to supply 55,000 metric tonnes at USD 369.95 per metric tonnes.

The TCP is currently evaluating the bids as per tender terms and conditions, which require bidders to quote for a minimum quantity of 50,000 metric tonnes.
