Tether Expands Hadron Platform into Saudi Arabia for Real Estate Tokenization
Tether's Hadron platform is expanding into Saudi Arabia in partnership with Advanced Data for Artificial Intelligence LLC and BKN301. The goal is to bring institutional-grade real estate tokenization to the country, with plans to eventually expand into energy and infrastructure finance.
The partnership will see First Data act as commercial lead, issuer, and primary market operator for tokenized real estate assets, while Hadron provides the core technology layer for issuing and managing tokens. BKN301 connects the two parties by handling banking connectivity, compliance, and operational support within First Data's existing framework.
The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 program, which aims to reduce oil dependence through digital transformation of real estate. Citi has projected that the broader tokenized securities market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, and Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a testing ground for this shift.
This partnership marks Tether's second major push into tokenized securities infrastructure in a year, following its earlier collaboration with KraneShares and Bitfinex Securities to build tokenized securities infrastructure aimed at capturing a share of the global tokenization market. Hadron represents Tether's attempt to become infrastructure for tokenizing assets it doesn't itself issue.
