Texas Gas Prices Fall, But Relief May Be Short-Lived Amid Oil Market Uncertainty
Texas drivers may have gotten some temporary relief from high gas prices as the average price per gallon dropped by 2 cents to $3.94, according to AAA Texas.
However, experts warn that this decrease might not be long-lasting due to ongoing tensions in the oil market.
Brent crude is currently trading at $100.90, while WTI crude is at $91.75, and Patrick De Haan of GasBuddy notes that the rejection of Iran's proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz has renewed concerns in the oil market.
Among Texas cities, McAllen still has the cheapest gas at $3.74 per gallon, while El Paso is the most expensive at $4.34 per gallon.
