Treasury Yields Plummet as Oil Prices Drop Below $99
Treasury yields took a significant dip on Wednesday as Brent crude prices fell below $99.
The 10-year Treasury note yield, which had surged to multiyear highs earlier in the day, dropped by more than 13 basis points to 5.104%. This marked its biggest one-day move since April 7, 2025.
The sudden decline in yields was attributed to various factors, including weaker-than-expected economic surveys and lower oil prices.
