Trekor Metals Posts Strong Q2 Results as Copper Prices Boost Revenue
Trekor Metals (TSX:TKO) has undergone a name change from Taseko Mines Limited, reflecting its expanded North American asset base and growth ambitions. The company's President and CEO Stuart McDonald said Trekor 'reflects our ambition to continue to grow North America's copper sector'.
Trekor has two producing copper mines: the Gibraltar open pit in British Columbia and the Florence Copper in-situ recovery operation in Arizona, alongside a development pipeline led by the Yellowhead copper project.
The company reported strong Q2 2026 results, with Revenue of C$330.6 million, up from C$116.1 million a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA rose to C$125.1 million from C$17.4 million, and Operating Cash Flow reached C$183.4 million against C$26.0 million.
The key driver of the results was the copper price, with Gibraltar selling 32.2 million pounds of copper at an average realised price of US$6.10 per pound. However, Florence is still ramping up, producing 5.2 million pounds of cathode in Q2 at a C1 cost of US$4.72 per pound.
Trekor has maintained its 2026 guidance of 110 to 115 million pounds from Gibraltar and 30 to 35 million pounds from Florence. The company's development pipeline includes the Yellowhead copper project, which is expected to have a 25-year mine life averaging 178 million pounds of copper a year.
