Oil prices rose on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump denied reports that he was willing to ease sanctions on Iran. The denial led to a slight increase in oil prices, with Brent crude futures for November delivery rising by $0.60 to $103.19 a barrel.

US WTI crude futures for November delivery gained $0.15 to $89.53 a barrel. Trump's denial of the Axios report contradicts claims that he was considering offering sanctions relief in exchange for Iran abandoning its nuclear program.

The American Petroleum Institute reported that US commercial crude inventories rose by 1.02 million barrels last week, and investors are awaiting official inventory data from the Energy Information Administration later on Wednesday.
