The Plaquemines LNG export terminal near New Orleans is seeking a multi-billion-dollar expansion under a new Trump administration 'emergency' permitting process.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers granted Plaquemines LNG fast-tracked permitting under a national energy emergency declared by President Donald Trump last year.

The terminal, which opened less than two years ago, is now seeking to double its capacity and meet growing demand for liquefied natural gas exports.
