US President Donald Trump stated that the war in Iran would conclude 'very quickly', citing the country's weakened military and economy. He also predicted a significant drop in oil prices once hostilities cease.

In an interview, Trump noted that Iran is facing a critical decision regarding the conflict's outcome, saying 'it'll either just say... they have 301 per cent inflation. They have no money, they have no currency. Their military has been defeated, their navy is gone, their air force is gone, everything's gone.'

He added that when the conflict ends, oil prices will 'drop like a rock'. Trump also hinted at potentially releasing diesel reserves from a European country to alleviate energy costs.
