Trump Rejects Iranian Peace Proposal, Oil Prices Spike

Oil prices have rebounded after US President Donald Trump rejected an Iranian peace proposal to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The rejection has caused a surge in oil markets, with Brent Crude futures rising more than 1 percent to $105.64 a barrel by 00:36 GMT on September 28th, according to Reuters.

In contrast, US West Texas Intermediate crude climbed over half a percent, reaching $93.11 a barrel.
