Trump Rejects Seven-Day Roadmap to End US-Iran Conflict

US President Donald Trump has rejected a seven-day proposal from Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restart nuclear negotiations. The plan, conveyed through Qatar, called for the US to lift its naval blockade on Iranian ports, ease sanctions on Iranian oil exports, and observe a ceasefire in Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that if Washington accepted the terms, the strategic waterway would reopen after seven days, allowing normal maritime traffic. The proposal also included a commitment from Iran to resume nuclear talks with the US on the seventh day.

However, Trump has maintained that Iran must abandon its nuclear ambitions and has indicated that he does not intend to lift the maritime blockade. US officials are considering continued economic and military pressure on Tehran, with sanctions potentially being expanded.
