Trump Unveils South Korea's $350 Billion Investment Plans in US

US President Donald Trump has unveiled South Korea's plans for investment in the US, including an LNG project in Alaska. The announcement follows negotiations over several energy investment projects under a bilateral trade agreement signed last year.

The agreement committed South Korea to investing $350 billion in the United States, with $150 billion earmarked for the shipbuilding sector and the remainder for strategic investments. In return, the US agreed to lower tariffs on Korean goods.

Trump highlighted the investment plans as he emphasized his economic achievements ahead of the November midterm elections. The LNG project involves building a 1,298-kilometer pipeline from Alaska's North Slope to transport natural gas that will be cooled to liquid form for shipment to Asia.
