Trump's Iran Sanctions Keep Oil Prices High

Oil prices have risen as President Donald Trump's administration continues to apply pressure on Iran with no plans for easing sanctions.

The increase comes after a brief dip earlier in the week, according to oilprice.com. Brent crude is now at $103.13 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at $89.53, both of which are set to finish the month higher.

Sugandha Sachdeva, founder of India-based SS WealthStreet, notes that persistent uncertainty over sanctions relief and negotiations is maintaining a 'geopolitical risk premium' in prices. While improving supplies could limit further gains, renewed disruption or escalation in tensions could spark another rally.
