Turkmenistan's 'Goturdepe' Field Surpasses Oil Production Targets
Turkmenistan's oil production is booming at the 'Goturdepe' field, according to recent reports. Since the start of the year, the 'Goturdepenebit' oil and gas production department has produced a staggering 717.24 thousand tonnes of crude oil, exceeding its target by 111.5 percent.
This is the highest figure among all oil and gas production departments within the 'Türkmennebit' State Concern. Compared to the same period last year, production growth has reached an impressive 105.4 percent, surpassing the target by a significant margin of 74,169 thousand tonnes.
The field's operators are working tirelessly to achieve their goals, with daily oil production exceeding 3,400 tonnes at the 'Goturdepe' field alone. Development of the field began in 1948, and commercial production resumed in 1956 after the drilling of the first exploratory well.
The company's Deputy Head for General Affairs, Jepbarguly Nepesov, has expressed confidence that the team will meet its targets and possibly even exceed them by year's end. With a total of 670 wells in operation across both the 'Goturdepe' and 'Northern Goturdepe' fields, Turkmenistan is poised to continue its upward trajectory in oil production.
