Ukraine Gas Prices Rise Again Amid Global Commodity Price Increases

Fuel prices in Ukraine rose again on September 17 as several gas station chains updated their rates. The average price of A-95 gasoline is now 89.13 UAH per liter, while diesel fuel costs 98.56 UAH.

The largest gas station chains in the country have adjusted their prices, with some increasing by as much as 3 hryvnia per liter. At 'BRSM-Nafta', diesel rose by 1 UAH/liter and A-95 by 2 UAH/liter. Similarly, at Socar, A-95 rose in price by 2 UAH/liter, A-95+ by 1 UAH/liter, and natural gas by less than 1 UAH/liter.

Meanwhile, 'Ukrnafta' increased the prices of all fuels except natural gas by 1 hryvnia per liter. At KLO, all types of fuel became more expensive, with some prices rising by even slightly more than 3 hryvnia per liter. In contrast, at Okko DP, diesel rose by 50 kopecks/liter while A-95 and A-95+ rose by 1 UAH/liter.

The most expensive fuel is currently offered by the Okko, WOG, and Socar chains, while the lowest prices are traditionally found at 'BRSM-Nafta' and 'Ukrnafta' gas stations. This comes as Ukraine faces rising wholesale prices for domestic tomatoes and raw milk due to increased export demand and higher commodity prices on the global market.
