Ukrainian Drones Strike Russia's Largest Oil Refinery in Moscow

A massive fire broke out at Russia's largest oil refinery in Moscow after it was struck by Ukrainian drones on September 20.

The Gazpromneft-Moscow Oil Refinery, located in the Kapotnya district of southeastern Moscow, is one of Russia's largest oil refineries with a processing capacity of about 12 million metric tons of crude oil per year.

The refinery was hit by three production facilities: the AVT-6 primary refining unit, the integrated oil refining unit, and the isomerization unit, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Security Service stated that long-range drones from the 'Alpha' Special Operations Center traveled over 500 kilometers to reach the target, penetrating the Russian air defense system and striking the refinery.
