US Military Destroys Three Iranian Oil Tankers After IRGC Fired on Warships
The US military has announced that it destroyed three Iranian oil tankers linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) after they fired on American warships.
According to a statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM), the IRGC's crude oil carriers M/T Downy and M/T Stark 1 were disabled off the coast of Kharg Island and near Jask, respectively.
The third tanker, M/T Kylo, was completely destroyed in the Gulf of Oman after its crew was directed to abandon ship. CENTCOM stated that the vessel was struck in multiple critical locations to render it inoperable.
