US, Saudi Forces Strike Back at Iran-Backed Militias in Iraq
The US military has taken action against Iran-backed militias in Iraq, striking sites used to launch attacks on American forces and Saudi Arabia's energy infrastructure.
The strikes were carried out in response to over 30 aerial drone attacks by the Revolutionary Guard and its terrorist proxies in the last 72 hours.
Saudi Arabia also reported shooting down drones fired by Iran-backed militias for a second day, while Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed to have forced a Saudi oil tanker to turn back as part of their self-styled blockade of the kingdom.
The US and Saudi forces warned that further attacks on American troops or Saudi energy infrastructure would risk additional action.
