US Stocks Rise Slightly Ahead of Non-Farm Payrolls Report

The US stock market indices futures rose slightly in premarket trading on August 7, as investors awaited the release of the July non-farm payrolls report. The Dow Jones futures climbed 0.11%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures rose by 0.24% and 0.56% respectively.

The gold price surged nearly 1.8% to around $4,320 per ounce, while international oil prices fell back slightly after rising in the previous trading session. WTI crude oil dropped about 1.6% to around $76.9, and Brent crude decreased by 1.3% to around $81.9.

Ahead of the non-farm payrolls data release, the crypto market maintained narrow fluctuations, with Bitcoin (BTC) trading at around $64,900, up about 1%. The overall cryptocurrency market remained cautious as investors waited for the impact of the employment data on the Federal Reserve's policy path and risk asset valuations.
