US Stocks Slip as Oil Prices Swing Amid Iran War Uncertainty

US stocks dipped further from their records on Tuesday as oil prices continued to fluctuate due to uncertainty about Iran's war impact on crude flow.

The S&P 500 fell 0.3% for a second modest drop since setting its all-time high on Friday, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 184 points and the Nasdaq composite sank 0.6%.

Oil prices saw erratic moves, with Brent crude briefly jumping above $90 before falling back below $87 and settling at $88.91, up 1.4% from Monday.
