US Forces Strike Iranian Oil Tankers After Missile Attack

The US military launched strikes on three Iranian oil tankers, disabling two and rendering a third inoperable, following an attack by Iranian forces with ballistic missiles.

No Americans were injured when the two warships, an aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer, were targeted while patrolling regional waters.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement warning Iran that its oil fleet is 'exposed' and vulnerable to attack.

Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander, stated, 'Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost, taking out three of yours.'
