The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday that US forces had struck three Iranian crude oil tankers in response to Iran's IRGC firing ballistic missiles at two US Navy warships in regional waters. The attacks occurred near Kharg Island and Jask, with one tanker being permanently disabled.

According to CENTCOM, the M/T Downy was hit off the coast of Kharg Island, while the M/T Stark 1 was struck near Jask. Both vessels were made inoperable by US forces.

The third tanker, the unladen M/T Kylo, also known as the Noxen, was attacked in the Gulf of Oman. US forces struck the vessel in several critical locations to make it inoperable.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the United States would destroy and sink Iranian oil tankers if Iran continued attacking US Navy ships. There was no response from Iranian authorities.
