US Warns Americans in Middle East Amid Escalating Tensions
The Middle East is bracing for escalating tensions as the US issued warnings to Americans in the region, urging them to remain vigilant and prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other travel disruptions.
The warnings follow a Houthi missile attack on Riyadh, which Saudi Arabia intercepted. The Houthis claimed they struck 'sensitive sites' in Riyadh and facilities belonging to Aramco in Yanbu, causing major fires.
Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stated that Tehran would not return to previous negotiations with Washington or allow normal passage through the Strait of Hormuz until Iran's demands were met. These demands include ending the war on all fronts, releasing frozen Iranian funds, and lifting the US naval blockade restricting Iranian oil exports.
Mohsen Rezaei, a senior Iranian official, warned that 'Trump's threats will not achieve any results' and that Iran is prepared for a 'decisive war.'
