The latest USDA Agricultural Marketing Service's New York Terminal Market Vegetables Prices report for September 4, 2026, shows generally steady markets for most herbs and vegetables. This is according to the Specialty Crops Market News division, which publishes wholesale prices at the Bronx, NY terminal market.
Among herbs, anise, arugula, basil, chives, cilantro, dill, lemon grass, mint, and watercress were reported as about steady or steady. Offerings were light for dry eschallot, horseradish, marjoram, oregano, recao, rosemary, sage, tarragon, and thyme.
In the vegetable category, most items were also about steady, including artichokes, asparagus, beans, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, ginger root, greens, lettuce, mushrooms, okra, onions, peppers, radishes, spinach, squash, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and yuca.
Some items had light or very light offerings, such as bean sprouts, Chinese cabbage, Jerusalem artichokes, jicama, rhubarb, rutabagas, and turmeric. Notable price points included California artichokes at $70.00 per carton, Mexican asparagus at $62.00-$65.00 for 11 lb cartons, and California broccoli bunched 14s at $22.00-$24.00.
