USDA Weekly Export Sales: Mixed Performance Across Major Agricultural Commodities
The US Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service released its weekly export sales data for September 11-17, showing mixed performance across major agricultural commodities.
Wheat net sales declined by 18% from the previous week and 13% below the prior four-week average, with Mexico as the leading buyer at 113,400 metric tons. Wheat exports of 385,100 metric tons were down 23% week-over-week and 19% from the four-week average.
Corn net sales reached 838,300 metric tons, led by Japan at 247,000 metric tons, Mexico at 211,000 metric tons, Colombia at 201,300 metric tons, Spain at 72,400 metric tons, and Italy at 52,600 metric tons. Corn exports totaled 1,900,000 metric tons, primarily to Japan, Mexico, Colombia, South Korea, and Italy.
Rice net sales of 54,200 metric tons for 2026/2027 rose 49% from the previous week and 31% from the prior four-week average. Rice exports of 79,200 metric tons surged 97% week-over-week and 81% from the four-week average.
