Uzbekistan Dominates Kazakhstan Grain Exports by Rail
Kazakhstan's rail grain exports surged in January-August 2026, reaching 7.2 million tons.
Of this total, 3.6 million tons went to Uzbekistan, which accounted for exactly half of the country's grain exports by rail during that period.
This represents a significant increase in Uzbek purchases, with a 50% rise compared to the same time last year.
The main destination for Kazakhstan's grain exports remains Central Asia, receiving 4.8 million tons, up 37% year-on-year.
