Vedanta Oil and Gas Limited, formerly known as Malco Energy Limited, has reported its production update for Q2 FY27.

The company's current focus remains centered on arresting base decline and building a future growth funnel through production optimization initiatives and enhanced oil recovery projects across mature fields.

In Q2 FY27, the company recorded an average daily gross operated production of 72.2 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (kboepd), representing a 7% decline compared to the sequential quarter and a 19% reduction when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

The significant drop in output numbers for the Cambay asset is attributable to the ongoing legal and operational transition involving the block, which was taken over by ONGC on July 24, 2026.
