Vietnam Gold Price Rebounds Amid Stable Demand and Lower Oil Prices
The gold market in Vietnam has seen a rebound on September 20, after three consecutive weeks of decline. The domestic gold price has risen to around VND 145.8 million per tael, fueled by stable demand and decreasing oil prices. This is a welcome relief for investors who had been bracing for further losses.
The international gold price also played a role in the recovery, rising towards $4,380 an ounce due to renewed investor demand. However, higher U.S. Treasury yields and expectations of additional interest-rate hikes have capped gains.
Gold prices can vary across cities and jewellers, so buyers should compare rates before making a purchase. The MCX price is a futures-market benchmark, while the price quoted by a jeweller can include taxes, premiums, and other charges.
