Vietnam Gold Prices Edge Up Amid Market Volatility
The price of SJC gold bars and plain gold rings in Vietnam has increased slightly at the close of session on Thursday, according to Phu Quy Gold and Gems Group. The price of SJC gold bars is now listed at 137.5-141 million VND/tael (buying - selling), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael on the buying side.
The difference between buying and selling prices remains high, commonly ranging from 3.5-4 million VND/tael. This gap makes buyers face the risk of losses immediately after trading, as gold prices must increase at least corresponding to the difference to break even.
Experts warn that buying gold at high prices further increases risks, especially for those who need to hold it for a short time. The market is currently struggling and unpredictable fluctuations make it challenging for investors to predict future price movements.
