World gold prices rose slightly, according to Kitco News, with a price of $4,069.2 per ounce, an increase of $27.4 per ounce (0.68%). This translates to approximately 127.2 million VND per tael (excluding taxes and fees), making the SJC's gold bars about 14 million VND per tael higher than the international price.
Marc Chandler, Managing Director of Bannockburn Global Forex, believes that gold has not yet shown clear upward momentum, with prices fluctuating between $3,996 and $4,116 per ounce last week. On the other hand, Sean Lusk, co-director of commercial risk hedging at Walsh Trading, expects seasonal factors to support gold prices higher in the coming weeks.
